21 Oct Why Should I be considering BOTOX® and Filler treatments?
I have been running Another Level Medispa in Chelmsford for over 13 years and in that time so many clients are moving towards having Injectable treatments. Not only that but they are getting younger and younger.
I believe this is a direct result of social media, Clients in their 20’s and 30’s are already making inquiries for BOTOX®, Lip filler treatments and having them. I believe this is a direct result of social media. The information that is available about who is having what treatment, clients are able to follow their favourite celeb’s and keep well informed about what they want to achieve when it comes to looking and feeling good. Young women using Botox has risen by 41% since 2011 and today, almost 20% of Botox users are in the 30-39 age demographic.
Over 90% of users are women , with men on the increase every year. Almost 60% are between the ages of 45 and 54.
Recorded statistics from 2015 clearly indicate that Facial rejuvenation procedures experienced the most growth, as 2015 marked the highest number of botulinum toxin type A injections to date with subsequent years showing further increase. Below I have outlined top trends
2015 Top 5 Cosmetic Minimally-Invasive Procedures
2015 vs. 2014
Botulinum toxin type A (6.7 million) Increase of 1%
Dermal & Lip Fillers (2.4 million) Increase of 6%
Skin Peels (1.3 million) Increase of 5%
Laser Hair Removal (1.1 million) no change but still very popular
When considering injectable treatments it is extremely important to book a consultation with a fully qualified prescriber practitioner who is licensed to carry out the procedure.
2 Commonly asked questions :
- Is Botox safe? Small doses — such as those used in the application of Botox — are considered safe. Botox has so many positive benefits, both cosmetically and medically, it is used for treating excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis), migraines and a sagging neck..
- Is Botox permanent? Botox is not a permanent treatment to reduce wrinkles, clients are booked in 4 to 6 months time for their next treatment. By having a few regular treatments the need to have them that often reduces as the treatment takes effect.
